Case filed against Tesla for racist behaviour
The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has sued Tesla Inc. in a California court for allegedly harassing black workers. The Federal Human Rights Agency filed the case last Thursday (September 28). News Reuters.
The EEOC claims black workers are being harassed at the electric car maker owned by Elon Musk.
The lawsuit alleges that since 2015, black workers at Tesla have been subjected to racist treatment. They are being called various derogatory names. Some were also victims of satirical cartoon images, the company alleged in court.
The lawsuit also alleges that Tesla failed to investigate allegations of racist behavior and fired black workers who complained of harassment.
However, Tesla has been denying the allegations. And this time did not comment on the matter.
